CRKT Squid XM — this original model, crafted by knife designer Lukas Burnley, has maintained its status as a favorite EDC pocket knife for years. Its practical design is well-suited for tough conditions. The Squid is one of those knives that you can confidently use for much heavier tasks than its compact size might suggest.

The latest Squid XM features a longer blade measuring 7.5 centimeters (approximately 2.95 inches). When folded, the tool is 10.4 centimeters (4.11 inches) in length. The blade is designed with a drop-point shape ending in a sharp tip. With a thickness of about 0.3 centimeters (0.11 inches), you can trust this knife will hold up under pressure. The steel used for the blade has also been upgraded, now featuring D2 tool steel known for its excellent hardness.

Compared to the original, the new blade is much easier to deploy as the Squid XM comes equipped with a spring-assisted opening mechanism via a flipper. Plus, you can easily operate it with just one hand. The blade unfolds even more smoothly thanks to the IKBS ball bearing system at the pivot point.

The revamped Squid XM sports a grippy G10 handle on one side and a frame lock on the other. This lock, made of refined stainless steel, ensures a secure blade fixation, allowing you to confidently use the knife even under significant loads.
