The modified stainless steel Sandvik 12C27, specifically designed for Opinel, is well-known for its sharpness and easy maintenance. This heat-resistant stainless steel, recognized for its solid hardness, is martensitic. With a carbon content of at least 0.40%, it delivers an exceptionally satisfying cut and resists corrosion. The blade boasts a polished finish with a length of 10 cm. Its double work gives off a mirror effect.

The handle is made from Mediterranean olive wood, which feels great to touch and has a beautiful sheen. The Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is a standout feature.
