Using the filter is a breeze with these 3 simple steps:

1. Fill the container with activated carbon (carbon is included in the kit).
2. Attach the inlet fitting of the Active Carbon Bottle Adapter to the outgoing tube of the filter (the tube for clean water).
3. Connect the filter outlet to your clean water container. The filter adapter fits perfectly into wide-mouth bottles (like Nalgene or Klean Kanteen Wide); additionally, you can attach a water hose to the bottom fitting.
