The deadbolt™ lock system is a smart closing mechanism that's built right into the pivot, connecting the handle and blade while securing the pin with dual pins. You operate the lock with a button that’s part of the pivot—this design makes folding the knife way safer than many other locking mechanisms since your fingers aren’t anywhere near the moving blade.

AUS-10 steel is a solid choice for knife blades, boasting a high resistance to wear, strength, and toughness. However, similar to 440C, it can be a bit prone to corrosion. It's worth noting that AUS-10 rusts a bit more than 440C because it has less chromium, but it’s also less brittle.

Knives made from this steel slice through like a dream and stay sharp for ages, though prolonged exposure to moisture and/or salt can lead to rust. The upside of this alloy compared to the American 440C is the presence of vanadium, which boosts the metal’s wear resistance.

The handle is crafted from G-10, a composite material made from fiberglass and epoxy resin. It’s super durable, moisture-resistant, and tough against impacts. Plus, it has excellent workability and colorability, making it a go-to material for all modern knives.
