CRKT Ritual — a foldable knife that looks like it's straight out of a history book. Much like ancient Persian daggers, the Ritual features a long, sharp curve on the blade and a sturdy handle. This beauty was designed by Alan Folts. Although it has a distinct antique vibe, it’s made from modern-day materials — the blade is crafted from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, while the handle is made from micarta.

Sandvik 12C27 is a martensitic chromium steel that is resistant to corrosion, developed and manufactured by Sandvik (Sweden). This steel offers great corrosion resistance alongside decent hardness and good edge retention durability, all at a reasonable price. It’s a favorite among knife makers worldwide.

The handle is made of micarta, a structural composite material that consists of a layered plastic based on fabric and a polymer resin binder. It’s tough, doesn’t absorb water or odors, has a pleasant tactile feel, and is quite decorative. Plus, micarta handles significant temperature variations really well.
