The blade is manufactured from D2 steel, an American tool steel that is high in carbon and chromium, giving it sharpness and corrosion resistance.

This steel stands out with its remarkable wear resistance and high impact hardness, all while being easy to produce and cost-effective. D2 is well-known for its use in military equipment during World War II.

With proper treatment, it can achieve impressive hardness levels of around 64 HRC.

In truth, the smooth surface of aluminum reacts with oxygen, forming a thin, dense natural oxidized layer that protects it from environmental factors. Plus, aluminum is unaffected by temperature changes and can be processed, shaped, and anodized — the latter greatly enhancing its corrosion resistance.
