This deuter bag doesn’t contain any PFAS (per- and polyfluorinated substances) that are purposefully used. By doing this, deuter avoids the application of materials known for their negative impact on nature and health.

For outdoor gear, PFAS is mostly used for creating water-resistant finishes.

Since 2019, deuter has opted for alternative DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatments instead.
