1. Apply a bit of grease (like clarified butter or coconut oil) to the pan, heat it at high temperature, and once melted, spread the grease over the entire plate with a brush.

2. When the pan is hot, toss in a few pieces of raw potato (skin on or off) and a teaspoon of salt.
