CRKT Flat Out – here's a slick semi-automatic folding knife crafted by the talented Matthew Lerch, who’s known for his artistic folding knives and various projects with CRKT. The Flat Out showcases his distinctive style with sleek lines, elegance, fine details, and thoughtful design, making it a perfect blend of a fashionable accessory and an EDC knife.

This little gem features a narrow, long Spear-Point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, a gem among budget-friendly Chinese blade steels. Thanks to the chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium alloying, it brings a decent hardness, impressive corrosion resistance, and the ability to hold its edge for an extended period. The blade measures 9.1 cm in length with a spine thickness of 3.1 mm, while the width sits at just under 2 cm. The grinds are made to be more than half the width of the blade for enhanced cutting performance. Since this blade has a slender and elongated profile, it's not suitable for heavy-duty tasks at the tip. The spine features a long section with cross-hatching for thumb support. The finish is satin polished.

The handle of this knife is straight and ergonomically shaped, with three gentle finger grooves on the underside for a comfy grip. Made from stainless steel with a satin finish as well, it’s got a thickness of just 0.9 cm, allowing it to slide easily into even the tightest pocket. Plus, it comes with a removable deep-carry pocket clip, also crafted from stainless steel, for stealthy carry.

You can quickly deploy the knife using a dual-sided thumb stud, and it's secured with a Frame-Lock mechanism. The CRKT Flat Out includes a Detent Ball safety feature to prevent accidental opening and a locking stabilizer for cross stability.
