The primary material used for the Hornet F815 is 14C28N steel, developed by the Swedish company Sandvic, and it’s currently one of the top materials for knife production. Moreover, this metal stands up perfectly to corrosion, making knives made from it well-suited for outdoor activities like camping or fishing trips. One unique property of this special metal is that despite having a hardness of up to 60 HRC, it’s still relatively easy to sharpen.

The blade length of the Hornet F815 measures 85 mm, with a solid thickness of 3.5 mm that allows this knife to take on heavy-duty tasks and slice through the toughest materials. The blade features a drop-point design: a sharp tip, a slightly descending edge line, and a subtly rising cutting edge.

The same steel that forms the blade also serves as the base for the knife’s handle. However, for a more comfortable grip, G10 scales are attached to the metal base. G10 is a special type of fiberglass plastic that rivals metal in terms of toughness, yet is still lightweight and easily shaped during manufacturing. The surface of both scales is fully textured so the knife won’t slip from your hands, even when they’re wet. There’s also a large pass-through hole in the center of the handle, which significantly reduces the weight of the Hornet F815 knife.
