The drop-point blade features concave grinds, providing a smooth and effective slicing experience. Its pronounced tip, aligned with the force application axis, offers excellent penetration capabilities and is handy for detailed tasks.

Crafted from 8Cr14MoV stainless carbon steel, this blade is heat-treated to reach a hardness of 57-59 HRC. This steel is known for decent cutting performance and is easily sharpened.

You can deploy the blade using a disc symmetrically positioned on the spine or via a flipper at the blade's base. Both methods allow for any-handed opening. The Liner Lock mechanism is designed for smooth one-handed operation of opening and closing the knife. The pivot assembly is equipped with IKBS ball bearings.

The handle body is made of stainless steel, and the scales are constructed from lightweight yet strong carbon fiber. With substantial dimensions (length 111 mm, thickness 13 mm), the handle has a palm-contoured design that fits comfortably in the hand, allowing for easy grip and confident manipulation of the CRKT Avant Linerlock.

The metal pocket clip and the pivot screw are anodized with a bronze finish.
